Select is an ideal service for your rush shipments as they are delivered the next business day within your region and two business days across the country (some restrictions apply). These shipments are delivered at up to 40% less than other expedited services and have a money back delivery guarantee. You have three options when shipping Select – SelectLetter, Select Pak and Select Parcel.
Have an important letter?
For your important documents, Canpar offers a sturdy legal size envelope to ensure your customers receive their package intact. This service is offered at a flat rate with no weight limit.
Have a rush back order?
For those documents that will not fit in our Letter product, Canpar offers a SelectPak option. This poly bag has been designed for large documents, spare parts, etc. This product is offered at a flat rate up to 5 lbs.
Have an urgent parcel delivery?
For your larger shipments, you have the option of using the parcel option up to 75 lbs. Canpar provides the label, you provide the box. Guaranteed on-time delivery at a great price.

Shipping to the U.S. is a great value option for Canpar customers. This southbound service is a reliable, convenient, cost effective delivery service anywhere in the continental U.S. Canpar can provide the names of preferred brokers upon request if the shipper does not have a broker. All brokerage and duty fees are payable to the broker by the shipper or the consignee. The shipper must specify on the Customs Pro-Forma whether they or their consignee will be paying brokerage. Transit times outlined below are estimates only as customs clearance may require additional time.
If you are shipping from the U.S. Canpar has solution for your company. You can benefit from Canpar’s low Canadian shipping charges by having your U.S. affiliates or suppliers consolidate your shipping and drop ship into our Canadian based warehouses. Canpar will deliver the shipments to your Canadian customers to minimize handling and transportation costs.

To save you time and money, Canpar’s Online Collect Service allows you to authorize other parties to ship using your account. They can simply go to Canpar's Collect Service and schedule their own pick-up based on the services you have authorized. It’s that easy. You will also receive a daily activity summary via email for simple tracking and visibility of your collect shipments.
Managing transportation costs is a critical component to all business. In order to help our customers control these expenses, Canpar offers several pick-up tag options that allow you to retrieve a parcel with the charges billed to your account using our Ground service. The options include:
- Electronic Pick-up Tags – Simply enter the address information for the pick-up tag through your individual Canpar portal. If you do not currently have a portal access created, please click here to have your sales representative contact you about setup.
- Pick-up Tags – If you require a product to be picked up and returned to you, contact our customer service team to make arrangements. Click here for contact information.
- 3rd Party Pick-up Tag – In certain situations customers require a shipment picked up at one address and forwarded on to another (not returned to shipper as would happen with our regular pick-up tag service). As a result of this need, Canpar has created a 3rd party pick-up tag service which allows you to make this request either through your portal or customer service.

CASH ON DELIVERY (COD)
If you want to improve your cash flow, or keep shipping to a high credit risk customer, Canpar's COD service can help your business. Every year our customers entrust Canpar with hundreds of millions of transaction dollars by using the COD service, which offers a wide range of options for payment including: Cash, Cheque (regular, post dated or certified) or Money Order. Our COD service is available on both the Ground and Select service levels.
Shipments to business or commercial addresses (excluding pick-up tags) are automatically protected in the unlikely event of loss or damage to a maximum of:
Canada Ground and U.S.A. southbound: $100/shipment or $2.00/lb whichever is greater
Select Service: $250/shipment or $2.00/lb whichever is greater
Additional coverage is available and can be purchased in increments of $100.00. Refer to your Canpar rate guide for Optional Additional Protection charges (see Liability for maximum declared value).
For shipments containing personal articles or defective goods, maximum liability is limited to $2.00/lb ($4.41/kg) per shipment, with no additional valuation allowed.
If for any reason Canpar cannot deliver your parcel, we ensure it gets back to the shipper with a documented reason. When a consignee is not available to receive a shipment, Canpar drivers will leave a notice and make two more attempts to deliver to a business address or one attempt for residential addresses.
RETURN TO SHIPPER (RTS)
If for any reason Canpar cannot deliver a parcel and returns it to the shipper, a charge equal to the outbound delivery rate will be applicable.
ADVANCED SHIPPING NOTIFICATION (ASN)
By providing an email address in the selected field of your CanShip shipping system or web application, Canpar will send an ASN to the consignee notifying them of the upcoming delivery. If they will not be available at the time of delivery, there is a simple option to print and sign a notice for the driver to leave the package in a safe place. With advance notice, your package will be delivered the first time – hassle-free.
PRE-AUTHORIZED PAYMENT PLAN
Customers can automatically pay their Canpar bill using Electronic Funds Transfer.

- You'll continue to receive your Canpar invoice as usual
- The amount owing will be automatically debited from your bank account on a pre-determined payment date
